After 30 years of rapid economic development, the urbanization and the flood disasters have led to the severely channelized rivers, with the loss of the functions of dynamic process and ecological service of the rivers, as well as the deteriorating ecological environment of the river corridor, under the circumstances of renewal of old city and riverfront landscape, the practice of reconstruction in riverfront Park has been constantly emerging over resent 20 years. In practice, however, infected by the economy and the concept of constraint conditions, some insufficiency still exist in reconstructing of riverfront parks-city context and traditional culture are neglected, and eco-design are far from implemented. In the meanwhile, the relevant theoretical research or summary on reconstruction of river park cannot be seen much, Therefore, to inquire how to reconstruct and renewal of the riverfront park is an urgent issue. Based upon the three related topics (eco-design, reconstruction and riverfront park design) theoretical research and typical case studies of the outstanding reconstruction and renewal of the riverfront parks, this thesis summarized the appropriate theory and methods for the reconstruction and renewal of those parks in China.Baicheng County which is located in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is an important emerging industrial city, eco livable tourist city and regional central city of Southern Region. Baicheng, located in Tai Levi Chuuk River downstream area is the economic, political and cultural center through the county. The River Park lies in southeast of the Old Town, about 40ha. Tai Levy Chuck River flowing from north to south through the site, divides the park into two parts:The West Park is an abandoned original Riverfront Park, which was built in the 1990s; The East Park have retained large tracts of natural fioodplains, the residents reclaimed farmland on the flat area of the upper portion. The reconstruction project designed to bring a positive, energetic and natural surroundings back to Tai Levi Cukor River riparian area of Baicheng, Tai Levy Cukor river will once again become the most distinctive, prominent and attractive public space.
