Seismic design plays a key role in structural seismic behavior, Architecture selection and arrangement and structure of the program played a decisive role in the seismic design philosophy. The high-rise residential structure generally ignored selection of work, Lacking of complete evaluation processs, Just depended on a single indicator and engineering experience evaluating the reasonableness of high-rise. For the current status of China’s small high-rise building structural form selection decisions and problems. Completed work are:1) Established frame and frame-shear wall structure, Described in the same amount of material circumstances, Shear wall structure can be obtained through using a greater lateral stiffness, Change Framework-wall pillars and wall pier location, Description the shear wall structure around will enhance the torsional performance of the structure.2) Suitabled for high-rise residential five architecture:frame structure, shaped column structure, short pier shear wall structure, frame-shear wall structure and the general structure of shear wall from seven to eighteen layer structure model layer by layer. The results show:Shear wall structure and frame-shear wall structure suitable height up to 52m above the 18th floor. In the frame structure 17 layer 49m or less. Shaped column structure and short shear wall structure 12 layer 34m or less. From an economic point of view,12-storey residential structure should adopt the framework, which more than 12-story residential structure should adopt shear wall structure.3) Different intensity (6 degrees 0.05g,7 degrees 0.10g,7 degrees 0.15g and 8 degrees 0.20g) and different basic wind pressures (0.4,0.7,1.0 and 1.3kN/m2) were established under the spacer structure model. And the construction area and structural economic indicators compared with frame-shear wall structure with greater efficiency.More in line with developers building needs.Finally, his study obtained different layers, different seismic intensity and the maximum height of the wind pressure with Five different architecture can provide a reference for engineering inexperienced designers to choose a small high-rise residential structures in the course of less errors.
