Research Of Urban Unitary Residential Area Renew Strategy Based On Urban Agriculture

By 2015, China’s urbanization rate reached 56.10%. With the rapid development of urban construction, urban renewal activities are in full swing, many old urban residential areas expose the living conditions deteriorate, obsolete infrastructure and many other issues, so the renovation of old residential areas gradually become a hot topic of social concern.Urban unitary residential area is a unique community form having different features and advantages from others, with a separate unit as the core to organize.Along with the implementation of housing reform policies and the popularity of residential commercial, unitary residential area is no longer the main type of urban residential area, but there are still heavily exist. Urban unitary residential area generally face various difficulties, its renewal and transformation is imminent. However, the unitary residential area renews are by way of partial settlements substance environmental remediation and demolition of large-scale reconstruction, ignoring the sustainable development of settlements, which brought a lot of social problems.Seeking a more ecologically sustainable unitary residential area renewal methods, this paper introduces elements of agriculture in unitary residential area renew, built on urban heoretical framework of urban unitary residential area renew strategy based on urban agriculture,to explore unitary residential area renew from a new perspective strategy. Text is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part, mainly describes the background, purpose and significance, research summary, and the contents and methods are described. The second chapter is basic research and analyse unitary residential area connotation and characteristics, research typically unitary residential area in Lixia District of Jinan, summarized the current reality. The third chapter is the analysis of necessity and feasibility of urban agriculture into the unit settlements. The fourth chapter is the core section, clear renewal objectives and principles, study the urban unitary residential area renew strategy based on urban agriculture. The fifth chapter is design practice, make Jinan typical unitary residential area-Shandong Jianzhu University Ji Wang dormitory for example, combine renew strategy to design,and compare renew result, to verify the feasibility of unitary residential area to a certain extent.The study aimed at achieving the overall renew and enhance of urban unitary residential area through a series of renewal strategy,let these old residential areas reintegration into modern urban environments. By improving the physical space environment and infrastructure, to maintain the self-development of community; using urban agriculture to create outdoor activitive space to enhance the vigor and vitality of community; adopting urban agriculture concept,to maintain the characteristics of the unitary residential area to promote their organic and sustainable development.The study has a important theoretical and practical reference value for unitary residential area renew and improving the urban living environment, and promoting the future development of old residential areas.
