| There exists a classical garden, which was designed for the purpose of commemorating the literati, the magi in history, who were living in west Sichuan, meanwhile manifesting their morality, achievements, or literary talent, this theme garden is Memorial Garden in west Sichuan. This garden has important research value, reflecting the typical landscape art in west Sichuan, at the same time, embodying its own unique and profound memorial and touring function.At present, the study of Memorial Garden in west Sichuan are mainly concentrated on the fields like garden introduction, landscape art and garden architecture, there still exists a blank on tourism system, which is the core of memorial garden. For this reason, this paper is based on the touring function, taking the Yanhuachi Park in Chongzhou as research object, and making a preliminary investigation on the layout plans, space structure, landscape sequence and tourism system for memorial garden.After the study of specific Memorial Garden in west Sichuan like Yanhuachi Park, we found that the tourism system of Memorial Garden in west Sichuan is closely linked to its memorial function. It is worth noting that only after visitors finish all the touring sequence, the memorial function could be perceived. The person is the core of the Memorial Garden in west Sichuan, the memorial function is the mental creation after people’s behavior of visiting, the memorial garden is material carrier for this memorial function, and the tourism system is the priority among priorities.The tourism system is a synthesis, mainly reflecting on the landscape elements, layout plans, space structure, landscape sequence and touring mood. All these elements in regular arrangement convey the memorial function, making visitors to perceive this function in the process of sightseeing. This kind of tourism system assists memorial garden exerting the memorial function in a lasting time.The study of Yanhuachi Park in Chongzhou and other tourism system of Memorial Garden in west Sichuan has summarized the touring rules, offered a model significance for the further research, in purpose of realizing the value of Memorial Garden in west Sichuan, meanwhile, the author tries to propose reasonable protection measures and overhaul to continue its historic resources and develop cultural inheritance.
