With the rapid development of city construction, metro construction has made remarkable achievements. However, metro construction is restricted by many factors like construction technology levels, which lead to a large number of accidents in production problems. This thesis comes from the National key Technology R&D Program. It mainly studies vehicle alarming terminal system of safety production in metro construction. Due to the complexity of environment in metro construction, many existing vehicle alarm system on the ground can not be applied to the tunnel environment, which increases the need for this research.In the context of the booming of IOT (Internet of Things) and given the status and requirements of Wuhan metro construction, this thesis applies the IOT to the safety production of metro construction. There are there parts in the whole metro construction program including warning system, detection system and positioning system. In this thesis, we focus on the warning system. Coordinating with the other two systems, the program achieves a unified production dispatching, accident prevention and early warning.This paper introduces the background and analyzes the current situation and the insufficiency, including international and domestic subway technology, and then does a detailed research into the technologies used by the system, such as ultrasonic distance measurement, human infrared sensor technology, and infrared radiation technology. After the demand analysis of the native environment in Wuhan metro, this paper puts forward the final solution. According to the solution, this paper introduces the overall architecture and describes the function of each module of the system. Given the actual situation and the characteristics of IOT, this paper designs and implements the network communication structure of the system, which uses wireless network combined with wired network. Wireless network are used to the underlying data communication, so it’s convenient to deploy and move for wireless terminals. Wired network are used to upper data transmission, the advantages are obvious, such as large transmission capacity, anti-interference ability and high reliability.After analyzing the overall structure of the system, this paper determines the function of each module. According to the function of each module, this paper implements its hardware design and software design and gives its packet format. After repeated tests and improvements, the system achieves its initial goal, and now it has been deployed successfully in Wuhan metro project. Based on the technology of IOT, this paper describes a whole process which contains data gathering, data processing, and data alarming. This will be significant to promote the development of metro-related industry.
