As we all know, the economic development of the country and the development of the highway are inseparable, the highway modernization is inseparable from the construction of highway communication system, it is the outstanding communication system to drive the rapid progress of the highway, highway communication system supporting the daily management and operation of highway.lt is a high-speed information transmission carrier for various communication services and conference to provide transmission channel, ensure the excellent degree and safety of communication services. Generally speaking, the advanced highway communication system can better carry the various business of the highway, more convenient management of the highway operation.This paper first introduces the development situation and communication system of domestic and international highway, analyzes the present situation of Jilin province highway communication system, points out the importance of the communication system in the construction of the highway, and puts forward the important significance of the communication system.And then, analyse the main transmission network technology, including SDH(synchronous digital hierarchy), MS TP(multi-service transfer platform), PTN(packet transport network), the three technologies are widely used in practical engineering, but the synchronous digital hierarchy has been difficult to meet the needs of the data transmission, multi-service transfer platform has improved to a certain extent, but it is only the improvement of the equipment interface. Taking into account the actual situation of in one part of Jilin Province, combined with the economic factors and the development of the future, the packet transport network is used as highway communication system in onepart of Jilin province.The development of packet transport network is described, and the main system of packet transport network is MPLS (multi-protocol label switching). Comprehensive analysis of the main technology of packet transport network, that is operation administration and maintenance system, network protection technology and synchronization technology. The protection technology of packet transport network is described in detail. The protection technology include port protection, tunnel protection, ring network protection, pseudo-wire protection, routing protection, PTN network can be stably and safely carried all kinds of business required by highway.At last, the paper designs the communication system of in one part of Jilin Province, and designs the synchronization mode, protection, carrying and load. According to design, network the communication system. The composition of the network, the choice of equipment and the composition of communication system are described in detail. According to the network security standards, proposed for the new network. For old equipment, to co-ordinate arrangements for the upgrading and replacement.In this paper, the design of the highway communication system can replace the original communication system, Highway can play a greater economic benefits, driven by the economy of in one part of Jilin Province. The experience in this paper can help the upgrading and reconstruction of the highway communication system in Jilin province, but the problem still exists, need to improve the safety and performance.
