As people improve the drivability of the car needs to enhance vehicle handling, comfort and safety, the original power steering system has been unable to meet the people’s need for car driving system. Therefore, the electric power steering system because of its good handling characteristics will become the new direction of future power steering system. Electric power steering system based on the vehicle speed and the driver binding controls on the steering wheel also need to add multiple car turntable signal to compensate for real-time car, so the compensation control is particularly important in the power steering system. Member in mind during car tires as a car body and the only contact with the outside world, and its working status directly affects the car’s steering resistance torque, and steering resistance moment in turn determines the output power steering system. So the purpose of this project is to increase the tire pressure to compensate on the basis of the electric power steering system, improved driver of the vehicle control,The research in this thesis mainly completes the following contents:First, summarizes research status of the electric power steering system, different forms of power steering systems were compared to determine the object of study for the steering power steering system. Set up a steering column-type electric power steering system mechanical model. Click on the permanent magnet brushless DC motor output torque current study, obtained implementation brushless DC motor torque compensation.Thereafter, the calculated resistance spot turning moment and dynamic steering resistance moment is calculated, and deduced the effects of different tire pressure of the steering sub torque, the vehicle is in place to determine the steering, the steering resistance moment affect tire pressure by comparing large, dynamic situation, while also affected to some extent, but by the tire pressure to affect a smaller proportion. Therefore, this article identified steering resistance under the condition of the place and moment to compensate for steering and compensation curve fitting.Finally, to build a steering system mechanical model, by the maximum steering resistance torque, calculate the maximum input torque data assist curve fitting. By Matlab / Simulink module compensation curve and fitting curve designed to validate the design results obtained. Car steering at low speeds and in situ with the addition of the compensation current of the electric power steering system performance has improved.
