When human survival hasinevitably facing with the greenhouse effect caused by threats and challenges, human must act, not to be completely indifferent attitude to deal with.Seriousness of the environmental problems has paid highly attention to by the global governments, businesses and other organizations, and they are also working actively to take countermeasures. Low-carbon development has become an important mean to response to the increasingly serious human security issues.When Low-carbon concept deeply roots in today’s society and people respond positively to carbon reduction and build a low-carbon society, the university as a key unit of energy consumed either from their own future sustainable development, or in response to the call of the country and the world, should contribute to a force to be actively engaged in the construction of green low-carbon campus.First of all, Under the background of global warming intensifying day by day and countries having taken measures to solve the environmental problem, the paper makes an in-depth analysis of the important meanings of the green and low-carbon campus planning and design to either the campus development itself or the low-carbon of whole society. At the same time it explains the specific methods and technical route of low-carbon campus landscape planning and design of this research. From the foregoing, we can have a overall perception of low carbon campus landscape planning and design. Secondly, it not only introduces the low-carbon, carbon sources and sinks, low-carbon economy, low carbon campus and other related concepts and green low carbon campus developments at home and abroad, but also analyzes the domestic current status of the green low-carbon campus construction and problems.
