The Research Of The Development Of College Dining Planning And Design

With the coming forward of the age of knowledge economy, the third climax of the construction of college campus is widely spread in our nation. A general problem existing in the construction of college campus is that paying attention to the teaching area much more than living area especially food service facilities. Dining halls are usually arranged in a corner of campus during the planning design. And the building form and the functions are pale. In fact , along with the development of modern college education, all the activates in the campus are indispensably components of student education. Dining hall in college campus is required not only a concourse for food service, but also a building complex for communication, leisure. It should be an important component in the campus planning, and reflect the spirit of education.The research and structure of theory is based on two factors, an external factor, the development of college campus planning; and an internal factor, socialization of the logistics. The developing tendency of the dining buildings in college campus is discussed after that. The dining hall in new campus of Zhejiang University is taken as an example in the end of the dissertation. The advantages and disadvantages are analysed as a reference for further design and researches.
