The Design And Simulation Analysis Of Bumper

As cars strode into the daily life of people, the auto industry has won a very rapid development. As the important part s of cars, the bumper also got more and more attention. With the continuous improvement of people’s life, the requirements of people about product also gradually rise. The bumper’s role is not only playing a role of safety, but also playing the role of decorating and beautifying the cars. So the traditional design method only considering safety performance of the bumper sometimes cannot satisfy the development of bumper industry nowadays. Increasing the ability of design will be the most important thing to an enterprise which wants to continue to develop in bumper industry. Therefore, designing a set of design process according with the development of bumper industry is very necessary.This paper tries to use the existing product design theory and methods, combines with the characteristics of the bumper and integrates new design idea with it, designing a set of product design process which is mainly used in designing automobile bumpers. It provides a certain reference for the enterprise which will develops relevant products.Referring to the design process of BAH model and combing quality function development and theory of inventive problems solving make the process fit for its own feature of the bumper. So it reduces the impact of man’s subjective factors on the design scheme, and ensures the scientificity of the design process. It Considers the characteristics of the bumper for the overall design of structure, satisfies the general design requirements, and has a simulated analysis of collision assisted by the software of ANSYS/LS-DYNA to form the ultimate product design paper and design criterion. Through the four stages of demand analysis, project planning, the overall design of the structure and simulated analysis, the whole design of the process is obtained and the feasibility of the design process in this paper has been validated.
