Many villages starts to give up the advantages of the traditional settlements in the integration of urban and rural areas, while beautiful countryside construction is booming and urbanization is accelerating progress. It greatly exacerbated the contradiction between human and land. However, research on the local landscape more focused on agriculture farmland landscape and rural settlement landscape. It has the characteristic that development is urgent and the existing theoretical guidance is not strong in environmental studies ways to explore the vernacular landscape construction. In this context, this paper seeks the way that adapts rural way of Qinling piedmont ecological environment for research purposes through field investigation, case study, sum up and other methods, combing the rural landscape study abroad course, finding study disciplinary position and choosing Liucun Wutang Chang’an District as a example, from the settlement location, settlement pattern and local technical environment three aspects.The paper is divided into seven chapters, the first chapter is an introduction detailing the background, purpose, significance, research object, research contents, ideas and framework. The second chapter is local landscape, aiming at combing the rural landscape study abroad course, looking for this research discipline position. The third chapter is an overview of the study from the geographical, historical overview, topography, geology, hydrology, soil, climate and other aspects of the description of Liucun, because natural and human factors is the foundation of forming village vernacular landscapes. The fourth chapter explores Qinling north mountain in xi ’an section country landscape construction environment way- settlement location from the macro level, and focuses on the Selection of Settlement and the Qinling Mountains unique natural factors- topography relationship geomorphology, hydrology, land and climate. The fifth chapter explores Qinling north mountain in xi ’an section country landscape construction environment way- settlement shape from meso scale, and focus on the village of building systems, artificial water systems, road traffic systems, green space system and Qinling Mountains unique natural factors- the relationship between topography, hydrology, land and climate. The sixth chapter explores Qinling north mountain in xi ’an section country landscape construction environment way- native technology application from micro perspective, and focus on the retaining walls, flood pools, gutters, "Ding" road, pavement, tableland terraces, planted pond, native plants in eight aspects of a study on the use of its build eco-technology. The seventh chapter is the conclusion of the article, summing up the broad content of the dissertation research study presents prospects and local landscape.Paper is a supplement to the theory of vernacular landscapes, and it also provides planning theory and method for the ecological sensitive and fragile areas in rapid urbanization of rural settlements, inheriting the historical context, retain local characteristics. The paper has three main innovation points. The first one is the special area, Qinling effect in xi ’an rural landscape construction of the environment. The second one is multi-scale, multi-angle vernacular landscape study ways and means to adapt to the local environment. The third one is the summary of vernacular landscapes under special geographical environment build mode.
