The Research On Elderly Outdoor Living Environment In Xi’an Hui Enclave

With the seriously increasing of aging problem today,it’s has been a key problem the current society has to face with that how to improve the elderly living environment and do improve the quality of life of old people. Xi’an, a historical and cultural city, for whom the Muslim’s Quarter is quite a vital part, between the Muslim’s Quarter and the peripheral urban space there are great differences in the space form, the living environment and living culture. At the same time, the Muslim’s Quarter is old city area, where most of the elderly are belong to vulnerable group, whose living conditions is so poor that need to be gave more care and help.This article adopts the research method of site investigation, interview, questionnaire, literature retrieval, summarizing the overall features of the Site selection, activity content, travel mode, activity mode, activity time, activity range of the elderly outdoor activities and the characteristics of the demand about the Muslim’s Quarter exterior space environment, summarizing the overall features of the Site selection, activity content, travel mode, activity mode, activity time, activity range of the elderly outdoor activities and the characteristics of the demand about the Muslim’s Quarter exterior space environment;then take a more detailed investigation and analysis about the status characteristics, existing problems and the influence on the living of the elderly of the outside living environment which the old people in the Muslim’ Quarter are living in now, including public activity places such as mosque, street, warren, in addition, road traffic, greening status and related hardware facilities;In the last, proposing solutions and suggestions about the existed problem of the outside living environment which the elderly are living in now in the Muslim’s Quarter based on the physiological, psychological and outdoor activities characteristic of the elderly and combined with relevant theory and experience.The paper proposes related measures and suggestions based on the analysis about that the present situation of the outside living environment, excited problems and the impact on the elderly, hoping to provide some theoretical reference and method for improving the quality of the living space of the elderly in the Muslim’ Quarter.
