With the improvement of the urban modernization level,drain pipelines and inspection chambers are increasing. The inspection wells really not only affect the integrity of the road,structural stability,aesthetic appearance, but also shorten the life of the road directly. At the same time,various diseases of inspection chambers have brought lots of inconvenience to pedestrians and motor vehicles,causing the damages to the road,for example,subsidence by a large margin.All the damages lead to traffic accidents as the living standards and awareness of environmental protection,security and law increasing,the requirements of the service quality of the road also increased,making this issue more and more prominent. As a result,the government,as well as other functional departments have focused on the problem of urban road inspection chamber diseases. Therefore,the study on drainage inspection chamber diseases and how to solve the problems is very necessary.After a survey conducted in Tianjin city on the road deformation and subsidence around the inspection wells,the poor quality of components and other issues,this thesis proposed some improvement measures and methods on how to prevent the inspection chamber diseases the main research contents are as follows:1. Investigation of domestic and foreign situation of inspection chambers,the main diseases of inspection chambers in Tianjin city and the analysis on causes for the disease mechanism.2. Based on the main pavement typical structure of Tianjin expressway,trunk roads and secondary roads,three different kinds of structure model were established by using ABAQUS,and then the variation of compression stress and shear stress of the inspection chamber surrounding pavement produced by load in different layer thicknesses was analyzed.3. The thesis researches on prevention and control measures against distresses around inspection chamber and brings up with such preventive approaches as promoting cement concrete strength and setting reinforced concrete well curb based on the mechanic analysis. The selection of reinforce concrete well curb was also studied according to different grades of pavement..4. Additionally,the thesis puts forward a repair material of pavement inspection chamber with the characteristics of high fluidity,microdilatancy intensity,stability and resistance of water seepage and then the construction method was determined.
