Research And Application Of Environmental Design In "Farm Stay" Of Rural Tourism

Yuanjia Village lies in the centre of Guanzhong Plain, in Liquan, Xianyang, which is 10 km away from Zhaoling Mausoleum of Tang dynasty in Jiuzong Mount and 60 km apart from Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi province. In 1970 s, Yuanjia Village was famous for its poverty. The villagers even didn’t have their cattle or gas for the lamps. There were 37 families, most of whom lived in shabby adobe houses. In 1970, 24-year-old Guo Yulu became the production team leader in the village. Under his leadership,Yuanjia Village not only solved the food problem but also became the model of agriculture reformation in Shaanxi province and even in China. In recent years, with its special regional characteristics and unique culture of Guanzhong Plain, Yuanjia village created, developed and planned “Impression to Guanzhong” project. And it becomes one of the most attractive China rural leisure tourism successfully.Through field research, measurement, and studies on domestic and foreign literature, the rural settlement landscape planning research were taken as the starting point, the concept and process of landscape in rural tourism planning and environmental design are studied closely. Under the background of new rural construction, the overall planning of rural settlements involves the planning and design of landscape environment so that the purpose of planning can be realized in the construction of new countryside. The new rural landscape pays more attention on nature, respects the local culture and customs, suits people’s living, adapts the development of the society andcreates innovational concept and new style. In this paper, the origin and development of rural tourism and the current situation of rural tourism at home and abroad are concluded and summarized by collecting the relevant literature. The concept and theory of rural tourism, rural settlement and the rural landscape are clearly defined. Yuanjia Village is taken as an example of the analysis research of overall planning.Yuanjia Village is taken as an example, and from macro to micro, combined with the local landscape, culture, and folk characteristics, the landscape planning and environment design are studied in this paper. And the situation of development types and courtyard landscape design of farm stay are also researched. According to the analysis and research to the physical space, space transition and enclosure of the village and the farm stays, the characteristics of its developing are discovered. Combined with the current market demands, the advantages and the problems are deeply analyzed, and the suggestions for later development are put forward. Yuanjia Village has greatly changed since 1970.Its great achievement in rural tourism is inseparable from the reasonable guidance and planning concept. Therefore, the research to its landscape planning and environment design has significant necessity.
