Developing new energy automobiles has become an important measure to reduce airpollution, to promote the transformation of the automotive industry strategy and sustainabledevelopment of society. New energy automotive technology covers a wide range and innovatefast. Automobile manufacturers must have efficient development ability. As the control center,ECU relates to the overall performance of the automobile. However, the existing developmentplatforms and tools can hardly help to solve the differences of control functions, rapidtechnology update and other problems in new energy automobile ECU developing. Therefore,this paper studies the Secondary Development Platform for ECU of new energy automotive:First of all, put forward the Secondary Development Mode and the overall design of theSecondary Development Platform. The development process of ECU is divided into two steps.In the first step, realize the basic functions of ECU and it is called Rapid Prototype ECU(RP-ECU). In the second step, with Secondary Development Platform, develop the controlfunctions of ECU based on simulink model. The Secondary Development Platform consists ofRP-ECU, MATLAB/Simulink software and Software Development Environment(SDE).Secondly, discuss the feasibility of the transformation from simulink model to instructionflow, and design an Control-oriented Interpretative Language(COIL) as the norm ofinstruction flow. COIL has the characteristics of Block-Function Couple, and it is applied indesign of the Secondary Development Platform.This paper focuses on the design of SDE and RP-ECU. SDE consists of thecommunication module, the automatic code generator, application functions and operationinterface. RP-ECU is composed of the hardware system and the basic software system. Thebasic software system includes the communication module, the COIL interpreter and someauxiliary functions for secondary development.Finally, test the Secondary Development Platform in a new energy automobile ECUdevelopment experiment, and summarize the characteristics of the platform designed.
