Currently,the consideration of landscape for visually impaired maily focused on building special garden for them, but lacking of systematic thinking in public space. As a visually impaired who lives in vulnerable groups in physiology since childhood, in fact, do not wish to out of touch with society, mostof them have strong willing to integrate into society.Urban public space which as the increasingly common activities place that can provide a place for the them to use. So it is not only feasible but also necessary.to take the needs of the visually impaired into account in landscape design.This paper choose Guangzhou Huacheng Square as the research object, organizing thirty visually impaired age from 16-28, and then through the methods with observation, open-ended interviews and questionnaires, to investigate the results of the evaluation. At the same time set up a control group of normal people to compare the difference between them. At last make some recommendations. based on the evaluation results and combined with proven experience abroad.The main content of this paper are the followings:Firstly, selecting the appropriate evaluation methods and research object depend on the characteristics of the visually impaired, and after preliminary exploratory study,discuss the key factors compliance with the characteristics of the visually impaired.Secondly, according to evaluation objective, established the evaluation system in line with the characteristics of the visually impaired. Using questionnaires, interviews and other methods to do the post occupancy evaluation. At the same time set up a control group of normal people to compare the difference between them.Thirdly, based on the evaluation results, combined with domestic and international experience, put forward some recommendations to improve it.
