With the advancement of science and technology,the development of intelligent hardware and the rise of the experience economy,wearable electronic products have come into our lives and brought the gospel to the visually impaired groups.The research on travel companion products for the blind can provide better social services for the blind and solve more social problems.Due to the lack of visual channels for the blind,blind people need to consume attention resources in the travel scene to perceive road information through auditory channels,tactile channels and other channels,understand and predict road conditions,and make behavior adjustments in time in order to avoid accidents,Therefore,they must have Higher situation awareness.The travel situation awareness of the blind is closely related to the user experience factors such as the availability of travel products and risk perception,so it is necessary to design auditory and tactile channel prompts reasonably and effectively to reduce the cognitive load of the blind,improve the performance of travel tasks and user experience,and improve the travel situation awareness of the blind.Aiming at the design of auditory and tactile channels prompts and their user experience in the travel situation of the blind,this paper studies the theoretical models and influencing factors of situation awareness of scholars at home and abroad,combs the existing research on travel aids for the blind at home and abroad,summarizes the design elements and signal parameters of auditory and tactile channels in blind travel companion products,and the design principles of auditory and tactile channels are proposed as the theoretical basis for design research.In order to evaluate the overall user experience of blind travel companion products,a model framework applicable to the evaluation of blind travel companion products was proposed in combination with the situation awareness measurement method,which provides ideas for the evaluation of blind situation awareness and user experience of travel companion products.Based on the interactive design of auditory channel and tactile channel of travel companion products for the blind,the specific research of the subject was carried out.With users behavior observation,interview and questionnaire investigation method,understand the use intention and product expectations and functional requirements of the blind for using travel companion products,understand the existing problems and risks for the blind in the process of travel,build user role models,plan and analyze the function of the product,find the key points and opportunities of the design.This paper studies the travel situation of the blind,obtains the levels of the travel situation of the blind,summarizes the classification table of the elements of the travel situation of the blind,summarizes the multi-channel interaction design process of the travel companion products for the blind,and designs the auditory channel and tactile channel prompts of the travel companion products for the blind according to the process.The auditory system is developed with modules such as Python and pygame,and the tactile system is developed with the help of vibration motor,ultrasonic sensor,raspberry pie and other modules.Carry out experiments to verify the design strategies of auditory and tactile channel prompts.By analyzing the perception time of auditory prompts,the correct times of task judgment,as well as the perception time,direction perception task accuracy,comfort and perception degree of tactile prompts,the effects of different sound forms and vibration modes on user experience and situation awareness were obtained,and draw the appropriate auditory and tactile prompts.According to the experimental results,select the appropriate auditory and tactile prompts,combine with the user survey results and typical user characteristics,summarize the design principles of the product,realize the various functional modules of the product,and analyze the morphological semantic preference of the product,derive the product positioning,to guide the design practice of the product.Carry out experiments to evaluate the overall user experience of blind travel companion products.Experiments show that the overall user experience of blind travel companionship products is good,with auditory channel and vibratory tactile channel prompt mode,which can improve the efficiency of task completion and risk perception and correct decision-making rate of the blind,reduce the cognitive load of the blind,thereby improve travel situation awareness of the blind,meeting the functional needs and design requirements of the blind,it also verifies the feasibility of auditory and tactile channel prompts and overall design.
