Research And Design Of Xiushan Meijiang Riverold Construction Renewaland Style

With rapid and sustainable development of national GDP going into next phase, the urban construction and renewal of our country becomes the new power of development for national economic. However, during the process urban construction follows close behind demolition and rebuilding. Old construction, which could still be in service and even has a historical value, has been demolished. That leads to a terrible waste of resources and serious urban pollution. The result is contrary to the sustainable development of basic state policy. Under the circumstances, how to reasonably renew old buildings shall be focused through visual angle for architecture in this paper, with example of Planning and Design for Landscape Gallery of Meijiang River and Reformation Design for Old Construction in Meijiang Rivers Area.Xiushan, as hinterland of Wuling mountain, is located close to Chongqing municipality, Hunan, Guizhou and Hubei province with Tujia and Miao people living there for long. In Meijiang River area, shipping service used to play an important role in past times, serving local people for their production and daily life. On one hand, regarded as regional characteristic and the most natural factor, beautiful scenery including clear water, natural coastline and vegetation, could not be ignored in landscape design. On the other hand, local environment landscape, architectural formation and features of Miao village are important humanistic factors for landscape design. Two banks of Meijiang river also left behind a large amount of Tujia and Miao folk houses, as well as the historical cultural heritage. But with the continuous development of economy, especially the change of the main transportation manners, the area fell into a decline. Buildings on the riverside have been respectively damaged and hard to promise safety for its structure. Rapidly developing Xiushan County becomes dirty, bad and backward. In order to reasonably transform the old construction in downtown, constantly promote Xiushan’s image, continually build good living environment and avoid embarrassing renewal and homogeneity, Planning and Design Research Institute of Chongqing University formally carries out the study for “Planning and Design for Architectural Landscape and Style of Xiushan Meijiang River’s Gallery” in September 2013, and even more work like construction documents design and final service etc. I feel appreciated to participate in this study. When the case finishes up, combined with my own research and practice, I decide to launch on the further study for renewal and design of old buildings there.Based on the essence from traditional local-style dwelling houses, the continuation of regional landscape features, a further study and wide practice, combined actual interests of local residents and the development of regional economy, the thesis analyzes problems of old buildings and tries to discusses the necessity of renewal for the old construction. Involved basic theory and practical experience, ecological design concept has been used to modify the external environment of the area. Special structural characteristics of wood meets the harmonious coexistence architectural art and structural safety. Details for reinforcement of existing buildings, size change of old buildings, coordination of the original structure form have been designed for conveniently construction. The text is going to summarize experience for old construction renewal and landscape design. I hope this could give some more reference to the similar projects in the future.
