As a cultural symbol design element, bamboo element make the perfect combination of Beijing Public Information facility from the shape, layout, functionality, and it is able to convey information of traditional Chinese culture.This paper consists of three chapters, the first chapter describes the selection of Beijing business district public information facilities to study the significance of the design, as well as a brief summary of the research methods research status at home and abroad as well as the public information infrastructure and the overall structure of the thesis of this article; The second chapter examines three characteristics- layout, type and shape of public information facilities in the business district, and analyzed the Beijing business district public information advantages and disadvantages of the current design of the facility, to explore the relevance of regional culture and public information facilities; The third chapter make Sanlitun commercial district as a case, find the problems of layout design, modeling structure and function management of public information facility and deal with the problems in the design of transformation,mainly to make the integration of bamboo elements in the traditional culture and public information facilities in the shape, function and layout design. At the same time, new technologies and incorporate accessible design are involved in renovation design, and it make the reasonable reconstruction of traditional culture and modern public information facilities in culture and technology.Finally, we think the development trends of public information infrastructure in Beijing business district.
