The automatic transmission is one of the most important automotive driveline components, By changing the gear ratio and the torque of the engine crankshaft meets at the start,the acceleration,the driving down the road and the overcoming the obstacle of different driving conditions where demands driven wheel traction and speed of the different requirements. while the existing transmission achieved its intended purpose, but with the development of the automobile industry, the performance of the new transmission efficiency, responsiveness and smoothness and other aspects put forward higher requirements. Institutional innovation in the design, construction types of organizations have an important role in synthesis. Through the mechanism synthesis, both the original organization structure optimization and the invention can also create a new type of institution.Under the National Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission, Chongqing University Fund, the paper have completed the following aspects:(1) Firstly, the gear topological graph synthesized by the software is transformed into the corresponding gear kinematic chain graph, based on their relationship of the one-to-one correspondence.there should selecte the gear kinematic chain topology which meet the requirements, Then, according to the characteristics of the work equipment of Automatic Transmission,the ring wheel, The planets wheel,the panet carrier and the sun wheel should be determined for the kinematic scheme of the mechanism.(2) On the basis of the information on domestic and foreign automatic transmission analysis, it is clear that the automatic transmission design requirements, the number of control components, the control components allocation theory, the relationship between the number of each tooths and the component angular velocity relationship, it is use the leverage method to arrange selecte gear mechanism schematic stalls were arranged.(3) A new six-speed transmission and an new eight-speed transmission are prefered.and then their stalls are arranged to get their gear kinematic chain graphs through the MATLAB programing to get their parameters and drive ratios which are eligible.4) Based on the complex method theory. the selected mechanisms are optimized,and the optimized gear transmission mechanisms get their transmisson ratios and efficiency.(5) The use of modeling software is made for the new transmission gear mechanism modeling and kinematical simulation. carries out a simulation of the each stall,and the simulation results are compared with the oretical calculations.
