9FA gas turbine is one of the heavy duty gas turbine which is the most widely commercial operation in China. It is designed by American GE Company. China introduced F class gas turbine of GE company in American, MHI company in Japan and Siemens in Germany. HE is responsible for assemble and test of 9FA gas turbine. In order to digest GE 9FA gas turbine technology of materials, manufacturing and control, HE constructed HE(Qinhuangdao) heavy equipment company(HQC), HQC is responsible for assemble and test of 9FA gas turbine, and study the advanced technology of gas turbine, It has a purpose for preparing to research proprietary intellectual property rights gas turbine.First, we researched gas turbine thermal performance. We introduce same critical factor influence the stability and efficiency of gas turbine through analyzing Brayton cycle and gas turbine thermodynamic principle, presented two ways to improve the performance of gas turbine. Second we researched and constructed hardware of control system include control system, IGV, CBV and network. Setted constrol signal and constrol constant. Then researched constrol logic and designed modular for constrol system, designed ENGTST Module, SUFSR Module, FSR Modul e, COMPR Module, SPDLD Module and IGV Module. At the same time, we designed HMI. Finally, we tested CBV and IGV, fired the unit and recorded the data.The test experiment proved that after the design of control system, the stability and performance of 9FA gas turbine has been significantly improved.
