This article is designed to Study Public bicycles on campus, trying to ask campus bike flooding, a serious waste of resources from a different point of view of the issue. Chinese steel production is a big country, but due to rust‐proof technology, technical problems, iron and steel waste issue, China is also a country of steel waste. An obvious example is the phenomenon of campus waste bike; campus in the country, almost all abandoned bicycles obvious phenomenon, and these bikes are not all‐of‐life, the more man‐made causes(abandoned, do not want to repair, etc.); and of course the school also bear a certain responsibility, existing bicycle racks, so that the steel of the body of the bike is exposed to wind and sun, and indirectly affect the life of the bike. The purpose of this study by the market research and analysis of existing public bicycle system, combined with the actual situation of Beijing Institute of Technology campus Liangxiang, analyze the possibility of a public bicycle system in Liangxiang Campus applications and do the preliminary design. Through online research, the actual experience of Beijing public bicycle system, and four trips liangxiang research campus, campus liangxiang more suitable public bicycle promotion. Finally, according to the architectural characteristics liangxiang campus, extract design elements were bicycles Device. The final design of a smart, convenient and secure campus public bicycle rental system.
