Asphalt distributor is one of the important black pavement construction equipment,spread hot asphalt or other materials in accordance with the requirements for construction technology. In process of construction, to operate the console to adjust the distributing parameters when it’s necessary. There are two main types of the location of the console:front console and behind console. There are some outstanding advantages to deal with many problems by the types, but there are also a lot of deficiencies in the convenience of control,real-time performance and the operator working environment in the actual construction process. Aiming at the problems in the construction, this paper puts forward a scheme to design a remote control device, to control the asphalt distributor.The paper studies the distributing principles on the basis of the existing control system of the asphalt distributor. Combining the problems in the construction process and the contrast of the several wireless communication technologys, it finally accepts the scheme based on ZigBee. Studying the control objects and designing a overall plan of the remote control system, it determines that the remote control system is divided into three parts:remote control device, automotive device and wireless communication module. It completes to select the core elements and design the hardware and software.The remote control system is working with the original control system. Automotive device is docking with the console through CAN bus, receiving the working parameters during the construction, sending them to the remote control device through the ZigBee module. The remote control device displays them after receiving the working parameters on touchscreen interface. The operator adjusts the distributing parameters on the basis of the parameters displaying on the interface.And the control instructions send to the console through the automotive device.Finally, it conductes a test on the communication function of remote control system successfully. The results of the test show that the remote control system can realize the function of the receiving parameters and sending instructions.
