In recent years, due to the amount of automobiles increased year by year, road traffic safety problem become more prominent. In the actual survey of traffic accidents, the vehicle’s collision speed can not be estimated precisely because of many reasons that the scene of the accidents is easily damaged. The vehicle body deformation are not damaged easily by the outside after accidents, so it become a commonly used method to calculate the vehicle’s collision speed that based on the vehicle body deformation. For problems above, the dissertation analyzed 3d laser scanning firstly to obtain vehicle’s body deformation displacement. In addition, the dissertation estimated the vehicle’s collision speed. And then it compared with the calculation results by using PC-Crash simulation software to provide a way to calculate the vehicle’s collision speed. The main content of the research are:(1) Through studying the Handyscan EXAscan, the dissertation finished testing body deformation and reverse building technology of the surface before deformation. Then the dissertation achieved the vehicle body deformation. In the end, it has researched vehicle deformation characteristics and deformation’s main points.(2) The dissertation completed loading force-deformation characteristic test and simulated the deformation characteristics simulated body deformation area. By processing the test data, it draws the loading force-deformation curve and verified the linear relationship between the two parameters.(3) The dissertation built the math model of the deformation energy and compiled math model using program language to calculate deformation energy. The dissertation also built vehicle’s collision speed model and compiled the program code based on VC++ software to calculate the vehicle’s collision speed. In the end, the dissertation simulated an accident case using PC-Crash software and analyzed the result error.
