Artillery is the backbone of fire assault, and artillery reconnaissance, geodesic security is an important premise and basis of artillery to carry out efficient command, fast and accurate shooting. As our army artillery reconnaissance, measuring equipment based on optical equipment, the traditional operation method is the main method of distance, traverse method, single view operation, double view operation, visibility restrictions that night work has become our army artillery reconnaissance, geodesic support in the field of " blind spots ". At the same time under the condition of information war, due to changes in form of war style, artillery in the rush to conditions and at night to fight more and more opportunities, more and status of maneuver and night combat more prominent, artillery stressed that " walking, go play with play, the pursuit of " to "move" the search for aircraft, formed a favorable situation, continuous and the urgency of operation time, makes for reconnaissance, survey support time is very limited, and the security tasks and the command organization difficulty, put forward a fast, accurate, all-weather, integration requirements of artillery detection security. Nocturnal survey support and mobile warfare, reconnaissance survey support is an important subject of artillery reconnaissance, geodesic unit urgent.At present, the function of survey equipment of the artillery is single, the time of survey operation preparing is very long, and work procedures of artillery survey equipment are very complicated. It is difficult to fit in with the needs of artillery quick mobile battle and warring at night in information condition. The project, which combined with artillery survey available equipments, designed and manufactured the Artillery Fast Survey System(AFSS). The AFSS integrates with the functions of angle measuring, distance finding, orientation, integrated positioning and data processing. The project studies the operation model and work methods and evaluates the combat efficiency of the Artillery Fast Survey System. The AFSS solves the question of survey support at night and improves the operation velocity of artillery survey squad, which is difficult before. That also can accomplish the all-weather and quasi-real-time survey mission. The AFSS not only meets the needs of quick mobile battle and warring at night but also lays a foundation for improving the operation efficiency of artillery.
