Underwater acoustic positioning technique has been widely used in various fieldsboth of military and commereial projects.It can provide accurate object’s position information for the application of oceanic exploitations and explorations.It is aimportant part of oceanic technology.Along with the government attaching great importance and investing huge finance to the exploitation of the Ocean and the construction of the coastal defence,acoustic positioning and navigation technologiesare facing a new challenge and a good opportunity for development,and will propel the development and improvement of oceanic science and technology.This task is derived from a base-research project.Its aim is to get breakthrough in the kernel techniques in experiments and tests which are needed in the integration of the underwater voyage test sources,thus,strengthening the underwater ability of general experiments,test and estimations.Its main content is about designing and realizing the digital signal processing platform of the long baseline positioning system so to offer a good platform for realizing algorithms of long baseline position signal processing.Long Baseline(LBL) Acoustic Positioning System is used to realize Positioning,tracking and data transmittingof underwater cooperative targets by usingunderwater acousticpositioning technology.The main work of this paper is to develop a digital signal processing platform which meets the need of the Long Baseline Acoustic Positioning System.It contains four parts of content : Delay estimate technique analysis;hardware design and interface circuits debug of digital signal processing system; DSP software design and implement;debug and test of the system on lake.A review about the underwater acoustic positioning system and real-time signal processingwas made first.Then the long baseline underwater acoustic positioning principle and several kinds of Delay estimate technique were researched contrastively.And several kinds of positioning modes and calculation methods were analyzed.The system design idea is presented based on the analysis of the design requirement.At last,the positioning scheme for the DSP platform based on LBL underwater acoustic positioning systemwas determined.On the design of digital signal processing platform, the whole platform’s data processing center is formed by two chips of floating-point DSP ADSP-TS201S; one chip of FPGA take charge of logic control;for FPGA has very rich I/O resources,its connection and control are very flexible and it is convenient for softwar’s upgrade and change; serial communication between DSP and PC is realized by universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter MAX3491; Analog-to-Digital converter used for data sampling is worked in parallel interface mode.In this thesis,the design and functions of interface circuit based on digital signal processing platform are presented in detail.The DSP software is compiled inC language.The signal processing software running at the hardware realized functions like data acquisition, real-time signal detection,data storage,time delay estimate,and so on. Finally,the tank experimentand Fuxian Lake test are carried out to verify the feasibility of the positoning algorithm, while the stability and reliability of system hardware and software are checked too.
