RF simulation system has been widely used in missile weapon system, because it can accurately simulate the missile system and reduce the research funding and time. It’s common to use antenna array to simulate the echo signals in RF simulation system. Through the working rules are easy to understand for a RF simulation system, there are so many microwave devices and circuits which may cause adverse effect. The accuracy of simulated target position is very important in the simulation system, so analyzing what affects the location’s accuracy and controlling it is necessary.Electromagnetic simulation technology plays an important role in the modern scientific research, so does the electromagnetic simulation software. For example, with full-wave simulation software, it’s easy and fast to build the model, then analyze its electromagnetic characteristics and finally get the reliable results. The time and the money used in research will be reduced. As there are so many advantages, these kinds of software are based on computational electromagnetics which combine the rigorous electromagnetic theory and numerical methods. In this paper, the electromagnetic simulation software will be used to build the model and do simulation, then the numerical algorithms will be used to compute and analyze the simulation results. This method will get reliable result and reduce the research time.There always are errors between the simulation result and the target position in the RF simulation system, and firstly building appropriate mathematical model will be benefic. Changing the errors of the parameters in the model will imitate the errors in the simulation system. For example, changing the value of different elements’ feeding imitates the errors caused by power divider or phase shifters which may be not stable. Then in the real antenna array, the results and conclusions get from the model can be used as reference. Using this method, it will be easy to predict the impact of errors on the target location and should pay more attention to the factors which brings huge errors on the accuracy of target location. This method can be used as a guide of simulation program, and it can avoid to damage the simulation system.Ternary array near-field error is caused by the difference between the signal using ternary array to imitate and the real signal. The correction of this kind of error is not easy and it should be based on the rigorous electromagnetic theory, and then choose one correction scheme, finally the table containing the correction results can be get. In this paper, the method using antenna element’s pattern to compute the target location will be used, which is widely used in radar tracking system. With the results from the full-wave simulation software, the correction of the antenna element’s feeding in the ternary array will be get and then can be summed up to a table. In the RF simulation system, the correction table should be kept in the storage of the correction module, which can correct the element’s feeding in real-time and ensure that the simulation is accurate to the real target position. It has guiding significance for the experiments in RF simulation system and this error correction scheme can also be applied to other experiments after slight modification.
