In the power transform system, there are many high-voltage equipments. These equipments are connected to a system by the various junctions. During the long-term running,the contact resistance of the junction will be increasingly enlarge, which must result in the junction-temperature rising. Due to the heating effect of the power equipments is the major cause of the breakdowns and abnormal phenomena of the power system. Therefore, closely monitoring the main junctions’ temperatures of the power equipments is the essential means to ensure the power equipments reliable running. Since the transformer substation is the key part of the power system, the security and reliability are vitally important. So, the online, real-time monitoring temperatures of the main junctions have the significant meaning in enhancing the running quality of the power system.In this paper, based on the summary to detection methods of the equipments junction temperatures, we present a wireless equipment junction temperature monitoring system for Donganshan Substation. The system includes the hardware part, composing of the forehand junction-temperature detection unit and data collection unit, and software part, composing of the database system and data analysis and processing system. The forehand junction-temperature detection unit is realized by using the microprocessor and the DS18B20, the resulting data is sent to the data collection unit by wireless mode, which is relayed to the PC in the control center. The temperature detection unit is designed by using the lower power consumption components, and is supplied by Lithium battery. The data collection unit links the forehand junction-temperature detection unit and the PC in the control center and realizes the data exchanging and transmission. The application program of the PCs in the control center includes the database system and the data processing system. The application program is able to give out the warning information and reasonable process according to the real-time temperatures detected by the forehand detection units, which ensures the safe and stable running of the power system. The programming language adopts the JSP and Servelet, and Browser/Server system configuration, which utilizes the WWW browser technologies. That will save the developing cost. The detail realizing process of the software and hardware are given in this paper, as well the testing results of the software.
