Daniel Urban Kiley is the first generation of the modern landscape architect.He is a high yield and high quality landscape designer,which has exerted a big influence on the development of the modern landscape.The composition of modern landscape design to get the plane as the key of design, space of the build is the goal of the designers.Dan kilely’s landscape space form composition can deepen the understanding of the landscape works,also can enhance our understanding of space form constitute, and apply to the design of time later.This paper gives an analysis of the works’ constitution elements, planar form constitution and the skills of space formed, through literature, summarized, case studies and spatial structure analysis method. The performance characteristics of the plane forms of Kiley’s works with modern and classical, nature and harmony, thorough and order. Through the above analysis are summarized the way Dan Kiley spatial form consisting mainly "structuralist" spatial composition techniques, space "layer" constitutes practices.Through the analysis of the landscape space form of kiley, to understand the spatial form of general rules and laws, and back in these laws and principles to guide practice.
