Today, new thought and new idea are renewal, and the gallery appears in contemporary architectural creation more and more due to the image of the bright, function of the bridge and adapt to the environment and create the artistic conception of the typical. This paper is based on the contemporary to find generality and regularity, and to obtain useful enlightenment for architects in the contemporary architectural creation of the gallery, through the summary of the phenomenon of the creation of building.Based on the related literature research and a lot of case analysis at home and abroad, this paper expounds the application of the gallery in the contemporary architectural creation in two aspects, the development and the demands of the multiple ideas, the contradiction and the transformation of contemporary architecture. From the two aspects of the form creation of the single building and the group building, and combine the 200 representative cases to sum up the application of the gallery in the creation of contemporary architectural form, and then summarize the application mode of the gallery in two perspectives: decorative and functional. Based on the results of the analysis above, this paper puts forward the principle of the gallery application in the creation of contemporary architectural form, and makes a theoretical basis for the application of the gallery in the contemporary architectural form.
