Risk management is a comprehensive management process, is a scientific management system and risk management theory as a new subject, in recent decades around the world has been rapid development, and gradually formed a professional and systematic theory system, and widely used in the field of financial management of enterprises and management of large-scale projects, currently in the electric power industry, risk management theory also had certain research and application of pumping energy storage technology of energy saving and power system regulation has a important role, has become China’s current implementation of electric power system intelligent and clean development of the inevitable choice. In recent years, China has built a number of large and medium-sized pumped storage power station. In order to make the healthy development of pumped storage power station, the research on the risk management of the pumped storage power station is of practical significance.This paper take research ideas from theory to practice, introduces in detail the development and application of risk management theory at home and abroad, expounds the characteristics of the basic concepts of the theory of risk management, risk management, risk management systems and risk management process, and introduced in detail the methods and steps of the risk management of each process is mainly used, which focuses on the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method on the basis of the evaluation and the steps of assessment. And the application of risk management theory in Shandong Yimeng pumped storage power station project construction practice, based on the theory of risk management is the basis of the various risk factors of Shandong Yimeng pumped power station construction projects were carried out on equal risk risk identification, risk assessment, energy storage, focus on risk identification and risk assessment process, the risk of the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis method, established the pumping and energy storage power station construction project of Shandong Yimeng adaptation has strong practicability and validity of the risk index system and risk evaluation model, the use of scientific evaluation methods for identification and analysis of comprehensive, comprehensive risk index of the project, at last on the basis of the evaluation results to establish and improve the risk prevention mechanism and put forward the corresponding risk prevention measures and strategies. On the basis of this research, is conducive to enhancing the pumped storage can power station construction project risk prevention awareness, reduce the transferred water storage power station construction project risk, improve the decision-making of risk management level, for pumped storage power station construction project further development.
