As a type of large commercial facilities, Shopping Center cannot be improved effectively without good location. Study on the sites of shopping center and the design of it’s outdoor space are helpful the shopping center develop better. It can also be a guide to the reasonable development of Shopping Center and it’s outdoor space.The research combed the basic theory of location study at home and abroad firstly, and summarized the influencing factors of the Shopping Center development and the function of it’s outdoor space in China. And then from the perspective of the macro, target the distribution of Shopping Center in Xiamen island as the main studying object, analysis the present distribution characteristics and their temporal and spatial evolution of Shopping Center in Xiamen Island. Through the analysis of the factors that influencing the Shopping Center development, from consumption factor,population distribution, road distribution and so on, by quantitative and qualitative analysis to find out the adaptability of the distribution of Shopping Center, summarizing the distribution characteristic of different types of shopping center. From the micro perspective, Shopping Centers and their outdoor spaces, collecting statistical data, analysis of the adaptability of the Shopping Center’s outdoor space between the urban residentsand’s activities and urban transportation, summarizing the characteristics of different types of shopping center outdoor space, then to sums up problems. Finally, according to the results of the study, puts forward integration strategies about the distribution of Shopping Center and the design of it’s outdoor space in Xiamen Island. Last, gives an general mode about the distribution of Shopping Center and the integration design of it’s outdoor space. |
