With rapidly urbanization, shopping mall is developing rapidly in China in recent years. Shopping mall provides a place for public recreation, but also plays an important role in the interior of urban public space. The third generation of Wanda shopping mall's development is relatively stable and mature shopping series, for which the atrium space and user behavior research has a certain significance.The first part of this article is to conduct a comprehensive study of the object to be analyzed to grasp. Specifically including elaborate shopping mall and atrium connotation, I learn from the results of previous research on the type of Wanda shopping mall's atrium space is analyzed. To study the three categories of the atrium from the body space, to grasp the characteristics of the constituent elements of various types of atrium space through field research; The second part of the article is from the user perspective, a method by site observation record, to obtain user behavior characteristics in the atrium space and behavior and the relationship between the elements of spatial composition; The contents of the third part of the article use methods of SD, factor analysis,to get the user's spatial effects evaluation and the main factors of space design and other information.and based on the above findings on comprehensive analysis. The last part of the article, to draw atrium space design proposal based on the environmental behavior and psychological analysis and sum up prior research results and looking atrium space research prospects.In this paper, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research, integrate architecture, environmental psychology, sociology, statistics and other disciplines, but also for future similar studies accumulated a certain amount of data. This paper intends to identify inadequaciesof third generation Wanda shopping mall's atrium space design patterns, puts forward the ideal space design proposal, to Create space in the atrium space with good quality.
