A Study On Building Decoration Art Of Chongfu Temple In Shuozhou

National key cultural relics protection units——ChongFu Templeis extremely precious temple of Jin Dynasty in our country.It iscomposed of a group of buildings that are eminent, magnificent andnatural. It also can be called a small cultural museum which is acollection of history, religion and art. Benefitting from Art-Deco, theChongFu Temple is very palatial. Because the aspect of buildingachievement is high, the aspect of building layout is rigorous and precise,the aspect of wooden structure is scientific and beautiful, and the aspectof architectural decoration art is novel and colorful. At present, theresearches about Amitabha Hall are mainly concentrated in buildingstructure, the murals and painted sculpture. However, the researcheswhich refer to the aesthetic characteristics are rare. Based on the time andreligious culture of the architectural ornament, the paper makes a series ofsummary and analysis which are about the art features of ChongFuTemple’s architectural ornament by analyzing the physical remains, usingthe methods of field investigation and literature review. The first chapter is the introduction of the paper, which describes thebackground, content, value and significance of the paper roundly. In thesecond chapter the author analyzes the ChongFu Temple building layoutfeatures, summarizes architectural form and the culture of each housesimply, and provides historical background for below. Based on the studyof the modeling, subject content and cultural implication, in the thirdchapter the author analyzes the art features of detail ornament,summarizes the uniformity and variety of every house, and proposes theuniqueness of the Amitabha Hall by analyzing the characteristic of thedecorative pattern and design. The fourth chapter mainly refers to theaesthetic manifestation of the ChongFu Temple architectural art form.The paper is mainly engaged in the research of representative art featuresof Amitabha house. At last, taking the protection significance of theancient cultural buildings into consideration, the author states the statusof the ChongFu Temple architectural decoration with the significance ofheritage protection in the Chapter5.
