Research On Chenzhou Rural Settlements Planning Based On The Protection And Utilization Of Ancestral Hall

The ancestral hall plays an important role in the traditional architectures of China.However, current situation of ancestral hall is worrying. Under the process of urbanization and the impact of modern civilization, many religious buildings have not been well protected. Due to the unique geographical location and cultural tradition,there are a large number of ancient ancestral temples in Chenzhou area especially in Rucheng county. Through a series of field survey for the well preserved ancestral hall, this thesis investigates the protection and utilization of the ancestral halls in rural settlements planning by summarizing relevant knowledge of Chenzhou rural settlements. The main research results is organized as follows:(1) Analyzes the effect of urbanization on vernacular architecture,put forward the traditional culture in rural settlements planning can not get good protection and inheritance.In Chenzhou,cultures with a material carrier of clan ancestral hall facing the same situation.Breakage and clan ancestral hall construction of cultural identity is the common problem.(2) Based on the research of ancestral hall of Chenzhou, from thousands of years of time span represent the ancestral hall of the history of development,to compare the ancestral halls of Chenzhou,Huizhou.Lingnan region from the spatial scale,we can find out the characteristics of ancestral halls in Chenzhou, the ancestral hall in Chenzhou has its particularity in the layout, architectural form, architectural decoration etc.(3) Based on some related knowledge and principles of rural settlement planning, we practice case planning for Pioneer village in Rucheng county of Chenzhou by using the design theory proposed by ourselves. Moreover, according to the characteristics of the clan, we make a special design for the surrounding environment, the related ruins and the central plaza of the ancestral hall in Pioneer village.In short, the purpose of this thesis is to explore how to protect and utilize the traditional ancestral hall building in the rural settlement planning, to achieve integration of traditional ancestral hall building and modern civilization as well as to protect and inherit the traditional culture of clan.It can effectively protect cultural diversity and promote the construction of ecological civilization.
