Lung function test is one of the important way to check the respiratory system. It can detect early lung and respiratory lesions, estimate the severity of illness, determine whether drugs or other treatment methods are effective or not, diagnose diseases, make evaluation on whether lung function is suitable for surgery or how much intense labor he can participate in, and provide good care for critically ill patients. Lung function testing has important reference value in clinic.At present, there are kinds of lung function analyzers with different property on the market. The price of domestic product is cheap, but property is ordinary. Imported product is excellent in property but expensive. For this situation, this paper introduces the design of two sets of cost-effective lung function analyzers based on Freescale MCU MC9S12XS128MAL as the core controller:the portable lung function analyzer with touch LCD screen and the split type lung function analyzer with PC operation.Firstly the paper introduces the basic condition of lung function analyzers and other medical instruments in China, combines with the present domestic related products property and technical indexes, learns from the excellent design experience of foreign products, and gives a reasonable design scheme after carefully analyzing, finally draws the overall design diagram of the lung function analyzer. Secondly, this paper introduces the design of the two sets of lung function analyzer in detail from the aspects of hardware and software, providing the hardware composition of the analyzers and the programs of PC and MCU. Finally it introduces the assembly, debugging and calibration of the analyzers. The results show that the two lung function analyzers can work stably and reliably with high precision results and excellent performance, and have a high cost performance.
