| University Library is an important place for college students to independent learning, as "second class" exists. With the development during the recent years, university libraries have gradually developed from single-function architecture of storing books, borrowing to the integrated information service center of study, research, communication, display. In this transformation, the boundaries of the university library reading space gradually being digested, trend to the opening. Therefore, in the new era of how to design the reading space to provide readers with a high-quality viewing sites has became an important issue for the designers.Based on the background above, from the angle of the effect of reading from the use of space and its associated design strategies to reaserch the reading space of university library. The first part introduces the background and significance of topics and research methods, and the results of previous research related theories elaborated to determine the paper frame; the second part from the angle of literature review to collate and analyze the features of the University Library building and development process of reading space, type, features, etc. The third part through the methods of behavioral observation and interview to reaserch Hefei University Library, collate and analyze the behavior element of human in reading space to draw the map of human behavior and make the evaluation about the reading space on the basis of the analysis of the relationship between behavior and place on the space, and make recommendations related to the design; The fouth part using SD method from the angle of perspective of the reader psychological experience of reading space to evaluate objectively, and through factor analysis results affect the main factor in the evaluation of such reading space; The fifth part combined with the results of earlier studies, summarized the strategy of the reading space in university library. |
