Study On The Use Of Appropriateness Of Reading Space In Uninvesity Library

The construction reflects its supported culture and closely links to the social patterns and political economy. The university library as a material carrier of the greatest cultural symbol in the university and its locating community is the place that gathers the various disciplines of knowledge. The nature of it are to form a discourse shared by the various disciplines and to represent the social attribute of the university. Today's university libraries have taken place a great shift in spatial patterns and functional structure. The management mode is continuously transforming from the closing Rack management model to the open-frame model, and the university library itself is moving to the process of digital information, intelligence and ecology. It has changed from the traditional library with a single function into a comprehensive multi-function center which can meet various functional requirements such as study, research, communication and display. Accordingly, the university library's reading room model is undergoing a big change to meet different requirements of audience in the new era. University Library in actual use were also exposed many problems, different users use the feedback also have differences. Regarding the design of university library's reading room, the methods at home and abroad have large differences. There is a great significance to learn abroad excellent research experience and to explore the design method about the university library in the development of quality education in our country.This paper takes the university library building space as the subject of study by reading and analyzing extensive materials of academic libraries at home and abroad. On the basis of the suitability theory and environmental psychology theory, it summarized the presenting characteristics, the using performance and existing problems of the university libraries'current reading rooms and discussed in the three prosperities of the physics, function and mentality. It also analyzes the various forms of interior space composition and explores facilities, accidents and households using results. It proposes the feedback according to the finding problems in the hope that it could provide some guidance and reference value for designing reading room of modern university library.
