Assessment Of Metro Entrances Integrated With Surrounding Urban Space

With the continuous development of China’s rail transit construction, the relationship of rail transportation and urban is much closer, at the same time, some inevitable conflicts occur between the surrounding environments of the rail transit entrance and city. These conflicts are not only had an impact on people’s lives, but also gradually changed the environment and structure of the city. In the new urban reconstruction, we should find the impacts of changes, and how to deal with them.Based on the discussion of the Suzhou rail transit entrances’ surroundings situation, this paper use two angles(urban design and environmental behavior) to analysis the surroundings, in order to find out how these surroundings are integrated. With the research above, the article finally made some analysis and evaluations. The purpose of this article is to decrease the conflicts between rail transit construction and urban design in the future, and enhance the quality of life of people in the city.This paper takes the surroundings of the entrance in Suzhou rail transit line1 and line2 for the study, and it contains two main aspects:(1) Analysis the integrated surrounding environment, included the integration of object, integration methods, integration processes, etc;(2) Analysis and evaluate the Post-Occupancy of the surroundingsBased on the two parts above, we can evaluate the effect of the environment surround entrance, and then provide some references to rail construction and urban redevelopment in the future.In this article, there are incorporates some outstanding examples of the domestic and foreign, these examples provide some ideas for the integrated environment surround rail transit entrances. In addition, we can also learn some strategy to enhance corresponding integrated development in our country.
