Urban Economical Artificial Waterscape Design

No matter those waterscape are big or small, they are essential in every city. Artificial water features include fountains, pools, drop water, waterfalls, water, etc. They can affects the citizens’ mind. These water features are not all the same pattern, in different regions and on different occasions, everywhere are unique, in order to meet the needs of users. However, the quality of urban man-made water feature has to be improved in such a background which is large artificial water features environmental are needed.After I visited many cities, and from many published research data in artificial water features, I found urban man-made water exists some common problems, such as the less water for a long time, the less post-maintenance, the weak ecology of water landscape, etc. In contrast to the natural mountain and river, and for any one of the cities strive to develop, those phenomenon of the landscape, indeed quite imperfect. And in contrast to the human lifestyle which are waterfront neighbors in ancient times, in the city of residence of the public, their living environment is indeed somewhat flawed. According to the survey analysis, this water landscape is mostly due to poor design, and poor design led to a series of late pre landscape issues, and increased maintenance difficulty. Thus, the key to solve the problem lies in the design phase of the water landscape.China is lack of water resources according to the realities of the country. This paper ta ke the patio water design project of Sany plant as actual instance, according to request of P arty A, analysis the difficulties in the design of the case and the problem of the breakthroug h of the water scene. Mainly research the economical design method to consider and create artificial water features meeting the needs of the project. Through select the economical de sign method of the combination of realistic and freehand brushwork, solve the difficulties i n the design of water features. Also, conduct design research for the determination of the si ze of the features, the design of the elements of the landscape elements, etc.At last, we have effectively avoid the waterscape’s common problems in Changsha, such as, single source of water,. the lack of water in times of drought, the weak practicality and aesthetics, backward-saving concepts, low life-cycle design forecast capacity, etc. And we improved spatial cold damp conditions in landscapes, this problem is easy to happen there surrounded by a small enclosed area transform to water landscape. Our water landscape reduced maintenance cost, and easily to care. In the way of illustration, we proved the feasibility of the design method.At last, I summarized a set of practical, modern design patterns, which laid the theoretical foundation for the conservation-oriented artificial water design’ better features.
