The Research Of The Designing Of Power Socket In Indoor Environment

The power socket in indoor environment plays a crucial role in human life. However, the existing power socket is hard to fully adapt to the increase of various kinds of electrical plugs as the development of economic and enormous flow of different devices. The existing power socket design also has issues in the limitation ofscalability, safety and identifiability, which leads it is necessary to solve these problems via redesigning and innovating.Based on the extensive field research and literature review about the usage of power socket in indoor environment, the author summarizes the basic styles and arrangement characters of existing power socket in China, analyzes the problems when using power socket in indoor environment, points out the necessity, principle and thinking about the redesign of domestic conventional power socket, demonstrates the design feature and architectural difference between domestic and overseas, concludes the common materials and basic structure of power socket. According to the problems in existing socket styles, the author improved designs the conventional power socket panel omnidirectional for the following three aspects:safety design, convenience design and recognition design, provides four designing schemes suitable for kitchen and toilet space, living room space and bedroom space respectively including sketches. In safety design section, the author reforms the conventional flip type protective cover to slip type. In convenience design section, the author adds accessory so as to hold the power line, decomposes and regroups the general integrated patch board to make the best use of it. In recognition design section, the author adds supporting plugs into the socket panel. In the end of this article, the author uses four groups of effect pictures to verify the research content, so as to prove that the author’s design can truly resolve the problems existing in daily life.
