| In recent 30 years, China's economy has a continued and rapid growth. As urban built-up area keep expanding, urban face has been changing with each passing day, but there still are some imperfections. We have put too much emphasis on macro-effects while ignoring the details in the practice of urban construction. The pedestrian is one of the details that usually ignored by designers. Lack of fully consideration when designing a pedestrian could cause safety problems and inconvenience of use. Transportation is an important element in urban life, and walking is one of the means of transportation. In recent years, as the ideas of"energy saving & emission reduction"and"low-carbon life"being advocated,"Green-commuting"has become a consensus to all the people. To build a harmonious society and people-oriented urban, we should pay more attention to the detail design of urban public pedestrian. Through this research, we hope to improve the situation of urban public pedestrian, enhance the links of separated urban spaces, provide a convenience and safe walking environment for urban citizens.Focus on the detail design problems of Chinese urban public pedestrian, the authors access to domestic and international public walkway on the city design, detail design, safety, environmental psychology, ergonomics and other aspects of literature and related policies and regulations an effort to research carried out by an overall grasp in the first place. And on this basis, we will compare urban public pedestrian of different cities, and find out the imperfections by investigating on the spot and interviewing the user of urban public pedestrian. Finally, use the means of statistics, analysis, induction and comparison, to give some suggestions and ideas on detail designs for width, height, facility lines, surface and ancillary facilities of pedestrian with the basic ideas of"safety"and"convenience", taking improving urban public pedestrian environment as the goal. |
