In recent years, with the continuous development of recreational agriculture, as an important part of agritourism the construction of sightseeing orchard is like a raging fire. However, many problems have occured. Among them, the construction of plant landscape is not satisfactory. Therefore, in this paper Changsha Jiangtian modern farm was taken as a case example, with the focus of studying in-depth the landscaping of the sightseeing fruit orchards in order to find sound solution for improving the planning and designing theory and guiding practice.The author adopted literature review, questionnaire survey, on-the-spot investigation, empirical research methods such as planning and design of sightseeing agricultural park in Changsha, the plant landscape investigation and analysis, summed up the problems of plant landscape, and conducted a case study of planning and design. Fruit science,landscape ecology, environmental psychology, plant science and other related disciplines were integrated in the study. The main results of the research are as follows:1) Twelve sightseeing agricultural parks in Changsha area were surveyed, and the development advantages, disadvantages,opportunities and threats were identified by the SWOT analysis. Corresponding countermeasures were proposed.2) By questionnaire survey satisfaction of plant landscaping to the 12 sightseeing agricultural parks in Changsha area was investigated. It was found that the prevalence of sightseeing orchard plants landscape in Changsha area was rough in planting design, the plant conFig.uration was poor, lacking innovation and character, leading to a poor overall visual effect.3) Different form other leisure and recreatioal activities, sightseeing orchards must pay special attention to well meeting the needs of economy, ecology, and consumption. Therefore, in arranging plant species and cultivars and the types of products, the product value and ornamental effect of the plants should be organically unified.4) By field survey and data analysis, more than 100 trees, shrubs, herbs,vegetables, and medicinal plants suitable for growing in sightseeing agriculture parks in Changsha area were summarized.5) With the theories reviewed and practical research finding a case study of landscape planning and designing for the Changsha Jiangtian Modern Agriculture Park was conducted, focusing on plant arrangement and with a view of giving full play to the economic, ornamental, and ecological benefits of the plants to be selected. |
