Due to the rapid development of highways and city roads of our country, more and more elevated roads and city overhead crossings are built, which leads to the wider application of curved girder bridges. Compared to the straight beam bridges, the bend-torsion coupling effect is more obvious than the straight one, of those of the cuved bridges, the minor-radius single pillar pier curved one appears more serious. Considering that a quantity of disease of transverse displacement and bearing damage of urban minor-radius single pillar pier curved bridges, the paper is based on Wulidun overpass ramp in Hefei to analyze the cause of the aboved mentioned disease systematically, then advise some proper prevention and reinforcement measures.The research of the paper has theoretical significance as well as engineering practical value.In this thesis, based on a lot of documents, the development of curved bridge, domestic and international research profile and calculation theory of curved bridge are discussed. According to the diseases of such bridges, of which the main disease is the lateral sway of such bridges, the influencing factors, including the two aspects have been particularly studied. The first aspect is internal influencing factors, such as radius of curvature, bearing pattern, width span ratio, extension joint, etc. the other is external influencing factor, such as vehicle partial load, centrifugal force, prestress, temperature load, etc. By taking Wuli Dun overpass in Hefei as an example, finite element software——Ansys has been used to establish a spatial finite element bridge model based on beam element and solid element, analyzing the tranverse displacement circumstance under two cases, one of which different internal factors at the same temperature load, the other the different external factors.According to the actual disease of the bridge which mainly are urban curved overpass bridge with single column pier and small radius and single pier ramp bridge of Wuli Dun overpass in Hefei, the temperature effect which mainly considering the seasonal temperature and sunshine temperature (the vertical gradient temperature, the south-north temperature interval) to the influence of tranverse displacement. Finally, according to the actual monitoring data of Al ramp to illustrate the phenomenon at different temperature loads, helping to verifying the conclusion.By comparative analysis, internal factors and external factors affect the curved girder bridge’s force behavior and displacement behavior both. The internal factors and external factors affecting its lateral sway can be improved the design and construction process. In addition, the long-term security and stability operation can be guaranteed by strengthening the management, repairing and maintence during the operational phase.
