The prestressed concrete girder bridge has become an important bridge type due to thegraceful curve of its linear and harmony with the environment, less cost, torsional rigidity anda series of advantages of modern traffic engineering. But lots of diseases and fatal accidentshad occurred frequently when they were been used. So, the study of the mechanicalproperties of the continuous curved box girder bridge is very necessary. This paper firstintroduces the basic theories and methods of computation of several curved bridge, includingVlasov theory of elastic thin-walled structures, equilibrium equations of plane curved beams,circular differential equations of force and strain relationships. Then using the finite elementtheory, taking a practical engineering of a curved girder bridge to establish the structuralmodel, using the modus of single-parameter impact analysis to calculate the bridge tosummarized several important factors for curved bridge (radius of curvature, support, thesupport offset tensioning prestressing strand sequence, etc.).Studies have shown that the radius of curvature of the curve of concrete girder bridge,supported manner, abutment offset and prestressing strand sequence are different tensionforces on curved girder bridge has a certain influence. On the basis of this paper, thereasionable offset of abutment of the curve bridge which has been used in the paper has beenpresented. To provide some technical support for this bridge which has been used in thepaper.
