Chinese have already entered the aging society in1990,The pension hasbecome a very serious social problem. The government"9073"plan and Chinatraditional supporting the elders takes family supportion of the eldersas its mainform and carrier, with its filial ideology as underprop, which makes the old-ageat home become a mainstream form of pension. The mention of "develop theaging service business and industry" from the18th CPC National Congress, and"to improve the elderly home care conditions and community environment” inChina twelfth five year plan, these provides a positive policy support for theproper aging residential construction. Residential construction often ignoresthedesire of the elderly special demand of infrastructures.Residential infrastructuresare the basic pension. Only allow large numbers of elderly living in a beautiful, fully equipped, well-paid environment, they will enjoy their twilight years of life, will alleviate the enormous social contradiction. After investigation found that,if transform some infrastructures, residential will meet the needs of the old in daily life and greatly improve the quality of life of them. The paper takes Taiyuan city as an example, in residential infrastructuresfor the aged as the research object. The paper want to construct the evaluationindex system of residential infrastructures for the elderly through thesummary of the related. The system want to provide a measure for the elderlyliving in the community, give experience for residential design, and offerreference for the transformation. If the settlements facilities meet to thecharacteristics of elderly people and implemented correctly, the elderly will getactive security. This paper consists of five parts:1. The purpose of the subject is study on assessment index system of theelderly’s infrastructure of residential area. At first, we need to study the relevantknowledge and combined with China’s actual conditions. After that, we willestablishment framework and explains the key concepts of research. In order toget the grasp of the whole subject,we determined purpose and content of theresearch.2. When build he evaluation index system of residential infrastructuresfor the elderly,we use Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) as the basic principlefor selection of indicators. After the hierarchy of index system is built, thepaper want an explanation of indicators. Finally, indicator system consists ofthree tiers, which is goal layer(1index), rule layer(19indicators), indexlayer(44indicators). 3. Due to the characteristics of AHP, the index weights obtained beobjective. We could use the analytic hierarchy process conducted for details:After building at all levels of judgment matrix, single-level sorting andconsistency test, the total level sorting and consistency tests, we would get theweight of each index weight. After obtained the right indicators, we based onestablished principles of evaluation criteria to determine the evaluation criteriafor each indicator.4. By using the weighted scoring method for comprehensive evaluation ofsystem. The paper described the evaluation process and the weighted averagemethod, and then based on this system of indicators to evaluate. The finalresult will be divided into five grades evaluation, give detailed explanation foreach level.5. Evaluation system should be applied to the actual evaluation: Wechose a settlement to research in Taiyuan, obtain specific findings, and thenscoring by evaluation system so that the two results are compared with eachother, the evaluation results prove correct. Finally, analysis of the problems ofsettlements, to make recommendations for subsequent transformation. This paper through the study on assessment index system of the elderly’sinfrastructure of residential area., want to make designers, users, managers ofthe current situations have a comprehensive understanding, would like to makea reference for home care. At the same time there are some deficiencies needto continue to improve in subsequent studies.
