Abstract/Summary:
As the capital of six dynasties, Beijing has a famous historical and cultural city’s unique urban structure "convex" font. The city and its river are important carrier of telling the cityscape. However, in modern times, as the wall was demolished in succession, the legacy of the Ming and Qing Beijing moat remaining third of the original. Although since1982, the municipal government has introduced measures to repair and protection, but now the moat intermittent form has restricted it to play in addition to the ecological functions of a bigger role in the city.In2011, Beijing "Twelve Five" plan will restore the previous three moat into them, this paper is as an opportunity to restore the overall theme of the moat; the first three segments of the Ming and Qing Beijing moat has disappeared, the inner city eastern, western part of the inner city as the research object, expand research.The article first reviews the Beijing moat of history and repair history, and evaluated the effect from the implementation point of view, analyze successes and shortcomings. Subsequently, the Ming and Qing Beijing moat regarded as the necessity and feasibility of linear space to demonstrate its recovery, the resumption of ideas and goals, and the final completion of the overall plan. In this thesis, such aspects are discussed as staging location, functional use patterns and management tools.In addition, the study focused perspective to the previous three paragraphs, from the perspective of river basin spatial shape of the recovery for the former three moat concept of spatial scales, transportation accessibility and identifiable characteristic shape of specific proposals and ideas through practice.Finally, we hope that through this study can provide recommendations for future policy to be implemented before the three-segment, but also can provide a reference for other domestic moat to protect the city’s history.
