Automotive engine hydraulic chaintensioner has a vital role to act on the loose side chain to reduce the vibration and noiseof the chain and it is an important part of the timing chain drive system. It has theintegrated advantages of belt tensioner and mechanical tensioner. The hydraulic oilprovided by the engine outside oil supply passage and the chain tension acts on thetension plate to provide right tension in the chain to maintain proper tightness when thechain wear and tear. Generally speaking, Thereliable service life of the tensioner mustkeep the samewith the engine. Therefore new type of hydraulic chain tensioner isnecessary now.Based on the learning from domestic and foreign research literature researchoftensioner, the work of structural design and optimization of its parameters was carried onwhich takesa Japanese engine tensioner for example. First, the engine proprietarysoftware AVL EXCITE was used to establish a tensioner multi-body dynamics model.Aorthogonal experimentwhich used the damping energy in the process of absorbingharmonic vibration for the evaluation indicatorswas conducted to research the influenceof key parameters plunger diameter, the gap between the plunger and the housing andthe gap length to the damping performance. The range and variance analysiswereemployed to realize the optimization of key parameters and the result indicate that thedamping properties improved59.70%; Secondly the contact force and displacementbetween tensioner and chain in the chain drive model analysis process were analyzed;Thirdly, thefinite element analysis software HYPERMESH was used to check the rootstress and do modal analysis of backstop institutions; Finally the design and testingrequirements of vibration durability and dynamic performance test bench were proposedin accordance with industry standards and OEM requirements... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Tensioner, AVL, Damping Properties, Optimized design, Test Rig | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
