The Developing Of CAD/CAE System For Wood Packaging Based On Solidworks

Considering the variety, complex calculation, duplication of work and low efficiency of the design problem in the process of China’s wood packaging products, this thesis applies CAD technology to construct model base of wood packaging products, and uses CAE technology for finite element simulation research on the model. According to the bearing capacity of the wood packaging, wood packaging is classified into four categories of wooden pallets, wooden boxes, sliding wooden box and wooden framed box, and then according to the China packaging standard, all kinds are detailed. In view of the fact that most wood packaging product structures have been standardized, basic model library features mainly on modeling and parametric process. Given the comparison of characteristics of wood packaging structure and3D design software, the SolidWorks is used as the second development platform. Using Visual Basic6.0programming technology and Access database management technology and through the SolidWorks API tools and the development of dynamic link library, a seamless CAD/CAE system of integrated SolidWorks wood packaging is constructed.This system is a professional design system of user-friendly wood packaging structure designing, which can achieve interactively parametric design process of wood packaging through the dialog form. Combined with the structural characteristics of wood packaging, the database of a parametric feature modeling, feature library of parameter and parametric driven generation of wood packaging basic model library are completed. And the CAE module is used to generate models for finite element simulation and modify the model in order to achieve the best design according to results of simulation.In the analysis process, designers use limited operating throughout the prompt of system, even in the absence of professional knowledge, also can gradually complete the analysis of product design, the system can automatically generate wood packaging to create the necessary drawings and process. In addition, this paper also demonstrates the application process of CAD/CAE system, and verifies the reliability of the system through bending experiments on wooden pallet. The CAD/CAE system software of wood packaging can greatly improve the design efficiency and quality of wood packaging structure, prospect of application is brilliant for small and medium-sized enterprises which are lack of technical personnel.
