| As a universal machine, centrifugal fan is used widely in fields of our national economy, the product are abundant and composed of many series, related design and manufacture technique is also growing and improving. With the increasingly intense competition, in order to improve economic profits of enterprises and promote market competitive power, improved product design efficiency, the quick feedback from users for design requirements and cost reduction are of vital significance. At present, main design method is still stays in 2-D stage in the process of mechanical design in our country, which is not only have the fault of week direct-viewing, heavy work, but also design mistakes are not easily found.so 3-D CAD technology for the design of the product is an inexorable trend. Currently, in the process of the design of centrifugal fan, 3-D software is used for the entities modeling and rendering, but the research of CAD system for centrifugal fan design is still in the stage of exploration. In this paper the development of centrifugal fan CAD system which can improve the efficiency of the selection and variant design for centrifugal fan. shorten the design cycle, improve the efficiency and accuracy of 3-D modeling and the switch between 2-D and 3-D model and realize rapid, efficient and accurate design of the centrifugal fan is detailed.Standardization and seriation for the design and manufacturing of centrifugal fan has already been formed, the structure and functions of parts in homologous series fan are similar. In this paper, taking seriation centrifugal fan for example, by 3D CAD software SolidWorks as the platform, combined with the Access database technology, using object-oriented Visual Basic 6.0 language, for secondary development, to establish centrifugal fan CAD system. System is divided into type selection and variant design module and parametric design module of two parts, the key technologies for fast selection, similar design, aerodynamic design and parametric design based on SolidWorks for centrifugal fan are mainly studied to establish some related model storehouse, database and standard part library.The main function of Centrifugal fan CAD system mainly includes the following aspects:(1) quick selection for centrifugal fan, (2) through the variant design module quickly devised meet the requirements of fans, when there is not appropriate fan model to choose (3) to implement of parameterized modeling and parameter assembly, (4) automatic generation of engineering drawing, and carries on the adjustment, including views position adjustment, view proportion adjustment, size position adjustment, schedule automatic generation and adjustment, technical requirements, etc, to make the generated drawings can satisfy the requirement of enterprise. |
